8/12/2023 Weekly Update

This past week has been both wonderful and full of tears. Tiffany and I were able to go to my family reunion this past weekend, and we had a blast there! After going back to Virginia, we were able to spend quality time with each other and with family before I had to drop her off at the airport to take her home. A few days later, I ended up leaving for Buffalo to live with my Grandmother for a few weeks until I can finish raising my support. That trip was both very frustrating and very rewarding. I ended up missing my first bus which ended up being a blessing in disguise. I was able to get my ticket rescheduled for later that night, but before I left, I got a call that Tiffany was in the hospital. Thankfully, my family was able to comfort me, so I wouldn’t freak out. If I hadn’t missed my bus, then I would have been alone and possibly missed the call with the news. Then my next two buses were delayed causing me to miss my last connecting bus to Buffalo. Then the new bus was late by an hour. All in all, very frustrating. Yet, when I got on the bus, I was seated next to a nice man from Africa who moved to the States years ago. We were able to strike up a friendship over a discussion about our jobs and learning Arabic. This led to me sharing the Gospel with him in English and Arabic for several hours! While he did not get saved, he was very open to the Gospel and asked several questions. We exchanged numbers, and I am praying for an opportunity to open up to continue sharing the Gospel with him.

Regarding my internship support, God has continued to bless me with increased support! I am currently at 27% of my support raised, and I am praying that I will be able to get to 50% or higher by the end of the week. I am still hoping to leave by September 1st of this year, but this goal can only be accomplished by the generosity of supporters like you. Would you prayerfully consider being the answer to my prayer? Thank you for your prayers and support! May much fruit be added to your account from this.
