Hey everyone!!! This past month has definitely been a roller coaster for me, but through it all I have been able to see God’s hand at work. Since I am posting this a few days late, I will also include some of September’s news.
During the first two weeks of August, I was able to rest and spend time with my family living near Buffalo, NY! It was very rejuvenating, and I really appreciate being able to fellowship with them!!! Please pray for my cousin. He is planning on starting a Bible study with people outside of the church with the focus on sharing the Gospel and discipleship.
While in New York, I was given the privilege of preaching the main message at my Grandmother’s Church! It was a weird feeling to preach for a congregation who helped raise me during my summer vacations, yet I am glad to have been able to give back to them. While I may not be a member there, I pray that they are able to reach their goal of seeing 50 new people saved, baptized, and serving in the Church
As most of you all know from my previous updates, I was not able to reach my fundraising goal in time to start an internship in New York City. However, this creates a great opportunity to be better prepared for my upcoming marriage in March! Tiffany and I will both be working to pay off our wedding and honeymoon, save up a nest egg, and continue raising funds to go on an internship together. For the first two weeks of September, I did temp work for one of my friends in Virginia while waiting for a job posting for my old job. I talked to my old boss yesterday and found out that they won’t be hiring for their department for another few weeks. I ended up applying for 4 other trade positions a few days ago and had an interview for a welding position today! Please pray for the Shipyard to accept my application and hire me quickly.
Also, please pray for me to have boldness in being a witness for Jesus Christ within and outside of the Shipyard. With almost 30,000 employees, there is a large opportunity to share the Gospel and disciple people to be followers of Jesus! My goal is to start a Bible study during break time, and also have a Bible study outside of the Shipyard. Please pray for me to keep my testimony pure during this time.
